Contribute your finds
The Forever Twinking Collector addon notes what you see in WoW: Forever: items and their stats, vendors, loot, quests and the levels things can be obtained at. Share its file and your finds are added to the database, credited to you as one independent observer. There are two ways to do it.
1. The Companion app (easiest)
One download for Windows that installs the addon and keeps it up to date, then quietly uploads what you find in game. No files to find, nothing to remember.
Download for WindowsVersion 0.1.3 · 7.1 MB · addon 0.8.12
How it works
- Run the download. It installs itself and the addon, and adds an icon to the system tray (by the clock).
- Your browser opens to sign the companion in to your Forever Twinking account: click Allow. (Signing in with Battle.net creates your account if you don’t have one.)
- Play as normal, launching WoW from Battle.net as usual. Whenever you
/reload, log out or close the game, the companion uploads your finds.
Good to know
- It starts with Windows and sleeps in the tray, checking every few seconds whether WoW is running. Right-click the icon to upload now, see your uploads, turn off starting with Windows, or quit.
- If it was closed while you played, it uploads what it missed next time it starts.
- It only reads the addon’s own saved file (
ForeverTwinkingCollector.lua) and only writes the addon’s own folder. It never touches the game itself. - Windows may say “Windows protected your PC” because the app is new: click More info → Run anyway.
2. Upload by hand
- Install the addon and play with it enabled; type /reload or log out so the game saves the file.
- Find
ForeverTwinkingCollector.luain your WoW folder underWTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables\. - Upload it below. Upload again whenever you've played more; only new finds are added. A moderator checks each upload first.
The file only holds what the addon recorded about the game, plus a random install id; no account names or passwords. Uploaded finds count as reported until seen by others.
